Hello everybody

So finally tomorrow is a first day of our trip :)) I really hope that it will be unforgettable week and we will have a lot of amazing memories!! I would like to thank all of these people whose put their time and energy to organize this trip!!

Couple things to remind you:

  • Train leaves tomorrow at 14:56 so please be at Örebro train station at least 14:45. We will split the tickets before departure.
  • We will have, not to much of space in the cars. Please take only necessary stuff with you, because there will be problem with load everything.
  • Take the slipping bag if you have it. There is an extra prise for renting sheets.
  • It’s good idea to bring some food with you to not spend extra money in Lapland.
  • If you have any maps of north of Sweden or Norway, please take it. It’s better when each car has a map.

Okay, I think that’s all what i wanted to write. Take tonight a rest to have a lot of energy for whole next week or if you prefer come with us to the party at Filip’s place :)) It’s beginning at 21:00, and i think it’s around Studentgaten 30 :))

See ya tomorrow at the station

Okay guys, I looked up some different activities that we could possibly do just so we have an idea of what is there.  Don’t know if we will have time or want to do any of them but at least it shows some of the stuff the town has.

Abisko   www.abisko.nu

-Abisko National Park

-Abisko Canyon…has 20 meter high walls

-Abisko Naturum…displays geology, flora, fauna, climate from the National park.  Sels maps, books, postcards, handicrafts…apparently in their front hallthey have a list of things to do depending on how much time you have

-Sami…about 500 meters from the tourist station there is a display of typical Sami buildings with explanations in English

-Mount Nuolja…has a chair-lift that takes you to the top (500 meters) where you can see lake Torneträsk and Lapporten(U-valley).  There’s the Panorama cafe at the top.  It’s open 930-4 and costs 80 SEK

As you should know, we are organizing a trip to Kiruna and the places arround it.

Right now I just leavy a list with the people who is already signed and confirmed for the trip and a little information.

There will be to trips (alternatives, but we will meet 25th/26th in Kiruna):

  • Go by train
Departure: 24-03-07 in the train station of Örebro. Two trains:
    – 19:44 that arrives at 15:27 the day after. Price: 418 SEK.
    – 15:27 that arrives at 10:29 the day after. Price: 465 SEK.
  • Go by car (more info below).
    Departure: 23-03-07

About the way back is pretty sure that it will be the same for both groups since the idea is get there and meet there everybody.

The price of the car will be a little bit more expensive since we will visit more places (the north of Sweden) and more days, but we will have the car inside Kiruna and Lapland so we will be able to move freely there and the other group is planning to rent a car as well so the difference that the save maybe will be the money that we save from the train.

Here I attach the list of people who is going.

Do you wanna join any of the groups (click to open the list of groups)(list updated 13-02-07 at 17:37)?

In order to use the website, fisrtly you must register, and then you can add information about accomodation, activities, and all the usefull info in this trip, just click comments!!

Tell us!!! (leave a comment or say via MSN, Skype or Google Talk).
